Our Vision
Vandarly is founded upon the following two pillars: accessibility and equality. The first key pillar, accessibility, entails providing struggling students with cheap and affordable tutoring services. Nowadays, students are under immense stress and pressure, as they are overwhelmed with assignments, stressed out about university, and are uninformed as to where they can access resources. Accessibility is crucial, as Covid-19 has had huge financial tolls on many families. This means that for many families, especially those of low income, tutoring services are inaccessible. Vandarly wishes to change this by providing affordable, high quality tutoring.
The second important pillar that Vandarly was founded upon is equality. This inspired our decision to support the “#stopasianhate” movement, which is crucial in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic as it caused a spike in hate crimes against members of the Asian community. This is an issue that hits close to home, and we want to help out however we can by donating 25% of our profit towards this cause. We plan to integrate these two fundamental principles in how we operate.

Why Vandarly?
Vandarly is unique in three ways, which makes it the perfect tutoring service to choose. First, we are students currently attending Lord Byng Secondary School, which means that we are familiar with the recent changes to the high school curriculum. Moreover, as students, we have plenty of experience learning from many teachers, who each have a different teaching style. Furthermore, we are both strong academically, as we currently average 98% in our courses.
Second, our classes are extremely affordable, as our prices are flexible and will be partially based on what students and their families are able to afford. We recognize that financial barriers should never limit students in their education, so we will try to accommodate everyone’s needs to the best of our ability. Finally, choosing Vandarly directly helps in the fight against discrimination, as 25% of our profits will go towards alleviating the hate and suffering that the Asian community is currently facing.
